RICHMOND, Calif. - With the help of volunteers, the USS IOWA BB 61 undergoes preparations for being towed to San Pedroy during the spring of 2012 where it will become a floating museum and high-tech education center near the iconic Queen Mary ocean liner off the coast of Long Beach. One of four battleships built during World War II, the Iowa is the last to finally become a museum. Its relocation was supported by state Sen. Ted W. Lieu, who co-authored a successful resolution to move the Iowa from the 'ghost fleet' near San Francisco to its new home in San Pedro. For more, go to http://www.pacificbattleship.com/.
